We’re a family friendly cricket club with a proud history, competing in the SECA competition. Situated next to one of Melbourne’s most famous and picturesque beaches, there aren’t many better places to spend a Saturday.

Whether you’re a weekend warrior looking for a hit’n’giggle, a junior in need of high level coaching or a serious performer searching for glory, we have a spot for you.

It’s a wonderful place filled with wonderful people and we’d be happy to have you – even if you do your best work at the club bar.

At the SECA Presentation Night held last Friday, Club great Humphrey Hughes was inducted into SECA's "Hall of Fame". Humphrey was joined on the night by fellow 1986/87 Longmuir Premiership heroes Gerry Russell and John Feehan. Also last Friday captain Andrew Byrns accepted the 2023-24 F Grade trophy and Adam Howard was named T20 Player of the Year. What a great weekend it was for our Club. It all started Friday night with our Under 16s getting up in a tense Grand Final vs Port Melbourne. A key driver in their success for the season was team Coach Harry Scott. Harry was there, at every game, every training session, volunteering his time, providing his support and passing on his knowledge. Thanks Harry, the boys couldn't have done it without you. RESULTS FROM A HOT WEEKEND JUST GONE
Under 16s have runs on the board and are in a good position if they bowl well. Unfortunately the 4s went down in their Grand Final but should be very proud of their performance and perseverance this season.
The 3s got a win in a tense Preliminary Final and are through to a Grand Final this weekend. Robbo with a Man of the Match Performance.

FINALS UPDATE......

💔for the 2's going down in the last over of the day. Charlie Wightman bowling a magnificent 27 overs on the day. Proud of the boys efforts and iimprovement this season.

The 3's got the W and will move on to a Preliminary Final this weekend. Marcus Bayer and Simon Harburg the standout performers on Sunday.

FINALS UPDATE...
2s and 3s in good positions overnight with runs on the board.
Max Marcolin with a great knock in the 2s while ZLM made a massive tonne in the 3s and Joey Mansfield made his first 50 for the Club in a fighting innings.
Plenty of work to do tomorrow.

Meanwhile the 4th XI went down the highway and got a VICTORY FOR THE TRUE BELEIVERS. Luke Brooker the pick of the bowlers in a great performance in the field and Philip Pond fighting hard with 52 not out. The boys are in the GF next weekend and are absolutely buzzing.

The start of March means Senior Finals, and its a huge weekend for us as our 2s, 3s and 4s all play away in semi-finals.
In addition we will celebrate the 200th game of our modern day doyen, former President and unstoppable run machine, Leigh Josey. Congratulations Leigh.

The best, most funnest social event in the Elwood CC calendar is here. This Sunday is 6 a side day and matches will be kicking off at the Club from noon.
This year we'll be raising funds for The Shake It Up Australia Foundation in aid of Parkinson's Research.
So we are calling on all our followers and supporters to get down and enjoy a drink and support the day.

Well done to young Thomas Condon who wins the inaugural 'Bubba Pizza Better Award' for bravely and selflessly stepping up from his usual spot in the Rookies to the Under 12s on Saturday, ensuring his Clubmates had enough players available to field a team vs Sth Melbourne. After some early carnage, Thomas faced 34 balls in his first game of hard ball cricket to help steady the ship.

Generously donated by our new sponsor Bubba Pizza in Elwood, the Better Award recognises those that go the extra mile to make life better for the people around them. We think Thomas Condon (remember the name) is a worthy winner.

A RECORD BREAKING day at Elwood CC yesterday as our First XI made a massive score of 5/414 that is our highest ever on Wattie Watson. Harvey Lockwood with his second century for the season and Matthew McNaughton smashing 75 not out off 34 balls.

Our lower grade teams got 3 wins from 3, with Loius Lockwood taking 4fa in the 4s, and the Club President finally doing something and taking 6fa in the 5ths.
